AUDIO SYSTEM Alu Butyl 1.8 is an aluminum butyl acoustics insulating mat which improves the room acoustics in the car. The “weak” coating is easily set in motion and so the acoustic absorption increases and the acoustic reflection decreases. This acoustic absorption is an essential basic requirement for an effective improvement of the room acoustics.

The thinner aluminum foil effects a higher absorption of the sound energy. The slight covering is being set easily in motion and so the energy of the hydrodynamic interface is better transformed into heat. This physical mechanism happens directly in the layer between covering and butyl.
